Year 5 Go Ape

’This Girl Can’ trip was run by Kent School Games. This was a Year 6 transition event for girls, to try activities that they might not have tried before to boost confidence and try new things. They had a go at self-defence, rugby, cricket, yoga, boccia and cheerleading. They were complemented by the adults running the activities on their determination to give everything a go and represented SSJS beautifully!

Remembrance Day - Lest we forget

St. Stephen's Junior School held a minute silence to show our respect and the kitchen put together a shortbread display

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.”

Victorian Day

Year 5 had fun experiencing life in a school during the Victorian era. Students and staff came dressed in Victorian-style clothing while participating in lessons and games from that period. A real eye-opener!
