Friday 15th March 2024 Non-uniform day Wear red from head to toe. Staff will have collection buckets on the gate to collect donations. Lion Class have lots of activities planned for the children. A voluntary contribution of £2.00 to wear your clothes and take part in the activities. Bake sale at break time outside Lion Class Thanks to your donations, Comic Relief partners with amazing projects and organisations to make a difference in the lives of millions of people across the UK and around the world. You have the power to help us support people to break free from poverty, violence and discrimination.

Children’s attendance at St. Stephen’s Junior School matters to us and the launch of a new national campaign called “Moments matter, Attendance Counts’ gives us an opportunity to let you know as parents and carers, some of the things we are doing in school and how we manage children’s attendance.

The first and perhaps most important word we use is ‘Support’.  Supporting our children back to school particularly after a long absence but also to support parents in encouraging children into school and working through minor illnesses and providing support and direction when help is needed.

Positive Noticing Day -  At St. Stephen's Junior School positive noticing is simple, practical and highly effective. It is an everyday relational strategy, any time, any place. Catching children doing the right thing and marking it with positive acknowledgement is not just kindness, it teaches behaviour. You get more of the behaviour that you notice most. The impact of positive noticing is both immediate and long-lasting. It helps build self-esteem and confidence in children and shifts the culture in the classroom so that the right behaviour is always the most sought-after.

Digital Leaders - The new Digital Leaders have started their training on staying safe while online. We can't wait to see them getting involved on Safer Internet Day this term.
