Canterbury and Coastal Emotional Wellbeing Team

This team was created by the Government following plans to transform the mental health of children and young people in schools nationwide. The Emotional Wellbeing Team offer regular parent online workshops. More details are in the links "Online parent workshops".

 Early Help and Preventative Services: 

thumbnail imageIf your child is struggling with attending school or presenting with behavioural issues then parents can self-refer to Early Help.  You can talk to a member of our wellbeing team who can help you with this referral. More information can be found at:
Kent Psychology Service
Parent Consultation Line
Parents can self-refer for a 30-minute phone or video consultation with an Educational Psychologist.  The aim of the service is to provide advice and guidance to parents and carers to support children's well-being and learning.  Areas you may wish to discuss might include; social and emotional issues, concerns about learning, family relationships, and concerns about behaviour and daily routines including sleep.

The Kent Resilience Hub wanted to create a resource that helps young people, parents, carers and practitioners to understand emotional wellbeing and resilience. They support 10-16 year olds to cope better with the pressures of everyday life. We are a Headstart Kent school.

Rising Sun offer 1-1 sessions for children who have witnessed domestic abuse.

Please speak to one of the Wellbeing Team if your child is in need of support.

The school health service is available for all children and they can help with a wide range of  issues. This includes sleep issues, bed-wetting and anxiety. Families can self-refer through the link above.
