St. Stephen's Admissions Policy
We are usually able to accommodate most applications but in the event of over-subscription the following criteria will be applied:-
1. Looked After Children and previously Looked After Children.
2. Current family association (an older brother or sister in the school at the time of entry) Linked Infant and Junior schools are considered to be the same school for this criterion.
3. Attendance at the linked school (St. Stephen’s Infant School)
4. Medical/Health and special access reasons
5. Nearness of children’s home

Parents who are unhappy with an admission decision can appeal, in writing to the Clerk to the Appeal Panel at St. Stephen’s Junior School, Hales Drive, Canterbury, CT2 7AD at
Admission Form – Before your child starts school you will be required to fill in the Kent County Council Admission Form (JCAF) or In Year Application Form (IYCAF) and our own School Admission Forms. We will also need to see your child’s birth certificate or passport.
