Topic overview term 6

yr5term6bOverview:

Term six is characterised as much by the hotter days, as by the excitement leading up to the year six production! In keeping with this theme, year 5 will spend the final term of the year learning about William Shakespeare and his Globe Theatre. In literacy the children will be reading a Marcia Williams adaption of Macbeth, and will write, amongst other Macbeth inspired pieces of work, a spell like that chanted by the three witches. Alongside this, the children will research about the Globe Theatre – learning about its history and creating a presentation to teach others what they have learnt. The stage has been set for what should prove to be an enjoyable term of theatre themed learning!
