Year 3 and 4 embark on team building challenges

All children in Years 3 and 4 have started their new term enjoying some outdoor activities with their class and teacher with the Challenger Troop. The Challenger Troop team visit us each year and provide an exciting range of challenges to encourage children to get to know each other, develop their communication skills and challenge themselves by completing an obstacle course. What a fantastic and fun way to start the new school year!

Children impress with great work

Chidren from across all year groups had their hard work praised in assembly Friday morning. Although we're only a few days into the new school year, it's incredibly pleasing to see the enthusiasm and dedication the chidren are putting into everything they do.

Feedback from our School Council

DSC 0002As this years School Councillors prepare to step down from their roles, the whole school took part in a mock parliamentary vote on their success this year. Pupils were asked to vote on key issues they had worked on. Pupils stood up for a 'yes' vote and stayed sitting for a 'no' vote.

We voted on revised homework policy, school disco, litter problems, school dinner queues, our trip to the Houses of Parliament and meeting our MP, Porchlight sleepover and fundraising and community lunches. Read the full article HERE

Fun in the sun for everyone

On Thursday, year 6 children, soon to be leaving us for secondary school, were treated to a lunch time barbeque with burgers, hot dogs and ice-cream. Having an extended break they were able to participate in lots of fun activities such as a slip-n-slide, bouncy castle and playing football against the teaching staff until shortly before home time. The fun experience was continued after school when all the children attending our breakfast and afterschool club were also able to enjoy the same wonderful fun activities and delicious treats.
