Year 3's visit the Roman museum in Canterbury

DSC 0136Year 3 had a fantastic time learning all about how the Romans lived. They investigated various artefacts found by archaeologists in Canterbury such as brooches, a whetstone and an oil lamp. The children got ‘hands on’ at the Roman museum where they made flour using a quern-stone, turned their hands to being minters, made their very own Roman coins with the Emperor’s head on, and even had a go at besieging an enemy hill fort using their catapults.
