St. Stephen's House points

House pointsOne of our key school values, found on our value tree, is teamwork. Every pupil at St. Stephen's has been allocated a house team. Our houses are named after historical figures with a local link: Langton (red), Manwood (green), Hales (blue) and Loretta (yellow). As an incentive for demonstrating our school values, and showing other positive behaviours, we reward our pupils with house points.

These points are collected in tubes outside the assembly hall, and are counted termly; we then award a termly winner. The number of termly wins each house achieves counts towards an end of academic year total (which combines with the winner of both sports day and our upper school swimming gala) to give us an overall winner in July. In addition to this, we also award a weekly winner, meaning that there are many opportunities for the children to experience the feeling of contributing towards a winning team.

UnknownUpdate: 20th July 2018 - The house point winners this year are Langton with 2981 points, followed closely by Hales with 2859 points, then Loretta with 2754 and finally Manwood with 2469 points. Well done children!
